As President and CEO of “Maverick”, Haroon ensures continued and consistent review of the goals, direction and vision of the corporation. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and has been involved in the fields of construction, development and hospitality since 1992.

His rich experience brings a unique blend of team building, expert management, planning, corporate finance, human resource development, taxation, dealing with authorities, departments, governments etc. to the portfolio of “Maverick”.

Haroon’s abilities in solving problems earned him the honor of serving as advisor to the Prime Minister (1996 – 1999) and as advisor to the Chief Minister (2008 – 2011), where he had the opportunity to research upon issues faced by the country in various sectors, seek solutions, build teams and devise time bound implementation plans that were consistently monitored and supervised.

He started his career as an accountant in a London firm in 1987 and possesses the invaluable exposure of doing business in three continents, four countries and seven cities of the world.

As part of the corporate social responsibility, Haroon continues to volunteer in suggesting solutions for various challenges faced by the government. He is also the founder Chairman of a non-partisan not-for-profit organization The Pakpur Foundation.

As Vice President of “Maverick”, Rumit assists the corporation in identifying, researching and acquiring land and properties.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and has been involved in the field of Real Estate since the past 10 years.

Rumit’s exposure and knowledge gives him a strong foundation to build on in the field of construction and development.

Khurram is the Managing Director of “Middle East and Asia” operations of the group.

Since graduating (1993) in Food, Hotel and Tourism Management from Rochester Institue of Technology New York, Khurram has been involved in the development, setup and operations of hotels (Holiday Inn Lahore & Best Western Shalimar Lahore). He is always eager to try new concepts and his entrepreneurial spirit has enabled the group to maintain a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Khurram remained actively involved in the construction of the Holiday Inn Lahore from 1993 to 1995. He was promoted as the operational head of the hotel after its inauguration in July, 1995. Having academic & professional qualification related to Hospitality Industry, he successfully analyzed the operation of all departments, provided fixed and variable staffing guidelines, coordinated production and planning with department heads and assisted them in decision-making. Khurram remains in close contact with General Managers and Department Heads to ensure that the operations of the hotels are being conducted efficiently and as per international standards.

In 2011, he successfully rebranded Holiday Inn Lahore to Hospitality Inn Lahore and Best Western Shalimar Lahore to Smart Hotel Lahore.

Additionally, Khurram is also responsible for expansion of the Group operations in MEA region. Recognizing the tremendous potential for hotel industry in Lahore, he was insutrumental in acquisition of 16 acres of land at a prime location in Lahore for the purpose.
